Limo Service Pricing — Frequently Asked Questions
How much does limo service cost in North Carolina?
Limo service in North Carolina starts at $75 for a luxury sedan and $115 for a premium SUV for most airport transfers and short city routes. Longer routes such as Raleigh to Asheville start at $385 for a sedan. All Krownkey rates are flat — locked at booking and never adjusted for demand, time of day, or weather. Gratuity, flight tracking, luggage assistance, and bottled water are included in every rate. Call (910) 248-4652 for an exact quote on your specific route.
Is tip included in limo service pricing?
Yes. Chauffeur gratuity is included in every Krownkey flat rate. There is no expectation of an additional tip at the end of your ride, though it is always appreciated for exceptional service. This is built into the rate shown at the time of booking — there are no add-ons, no surcharges, and no tip prompts at checkout.
Is limo service cheaper than Uber in North Carolina?
At standard times, Krownkey's flat rates are comparable to Uber Black. During peak demand periods — major sporting events, bad weather, early morning airport rushes, and holiday travel — Uber surge pricing can push fares significantly higher than our locked flat rate.
Beyond price, the difference is in what you get: a named, confirmed chauffeur in a guaranteed luxury vehicle, curbside pickup at the terminal, automatic flight tracking, luggage assistance, and gratuity included. Uber provides none of these by default. For airport transfers specifically, Krownkey is frequently the better value once all factors are considered.
Do limo service prices change during holidays or events?
No. Krownkey does not apply surge pricing, holiday rates, or event premiums. The rate confirmed at booking is the rate charged — whether you're travelling during the ACC Tournament, a NASCAR weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway, a Panthers home game, Thanksgiving, or New Year's Eve. This is one of the key differences between a flat-rate limo service and app-based rideshare.
What is the difference in price between a sedan and an SUV?
SUV rates are typically $40 more than sedan rates for the same route — for example, $75 sedan vs $115 SUV for a standard Triangle airport transfer. The SUV premium reflects the larger vehicle capacity (up to 6 passengers), significantly more luggage space, and the elevated comfort of a Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator over a luxury sedan.
For groups of 3 or more, or for anyone travelling with full-size luggage, golf bags, or sports equipment, the SUV is usually the better value per person.
Do you charge extra for early morning or late night pickups?
No. Krownkey operates 24/7 and the same flat rate applies regardless of time of day. A 3 AM airport pickup is the same price as a 3 PM pickup for the same route. There are no late-night fees, early morning surcharges, or after-hours premiums.
